Kay’s Bar was established in 1934
Since that time, it has functioned as a community watering hole for the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood attracting mostly locals, professors from nearby Reed College, and the occasional ghost hunter. Renovations over the past several years have dramatically improved the interior and expanded the available seating without sacrificing the lived-in vibe that lends this pedestrian-friendly strip of Westmoreland such character.
The Kay's mural was completed in 2011 by Jeffrey Wade and is full of neighborhood regulars.
